We are back now from our Honeymoon, in the Canary Islands - Tenerife. We had a wonderful time there, its a great Island to visit thats for sure. The island itself isn’t that large, 2 1/2 hours you can drive from the top to the bottom. So its not huge in any sence. 7 days on the Island were great, the weather was often cloudy, due to the Montain in the middle of the Island. But the tempreture remained aprx 25 degrees and a max temp of about 32. So not too bad. Our hotel was in Puerto la cruz. Nice little city, very touristy. Quite green, and clean (By NZ standards), still very spanish and features a nice port, and the Martiánez artifitial lake complex (See the photo I attached..)The beaches are mostly black sand in tenerife, Due to Mount Teide and the volcanic nature of the island.
In our seven days we almost covered most of the “too see” of the Island. Santa Cruz, El Teide (the name of the Mountain), Pyramides de GüÃmar etc.
I will post about the more interesting things later on for example the Pyramides de GüÃmar.
