Dell fan control for Dell XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, Precision notebooks / laptops.
Is your notebook overheating? I8kfanGUI is a Dell notebook fan controller for most new and recent dell laptops. I had over heating issues with my Dell XPS M170 and 7800 GTX graphics card and the fans didn’t seem to be at high rpms and my laptop was getting extremely hot. Almost could burn me. However once I installed I8kfanGUI (Works on Windows Vista too) I could set the fans to maximum rpm when playing games for example and I have total control over the fans. Overheating issues went away.
I defiantly recommend this for Dell XPS Gen 2 or Dell XPS M170 users. As these systems can overheat and often get very hot also if the graphics card is overclocked, which is my case. You need to have those fans working on high speed not just slow. It seems to be a fault of the Vistas drivers that the Bios or GPU temperature monitor that control the fans never steps up to high speed.
