Hi all, just in the process of uploading my 200+ megabytes of photos of our 3 day trip to France this weekend just been. They will be up shortly in the photo album.

France was great, we took the Eurostar train from London, waterloo station directly to Paris De Nord staion. Total time was about 2hrs 50mins. It goes under the french channel tunnel, your only under there for about 20 mins traveling at 300+kph !! Our hotel was based in la defence with is on the boarders of Paris. Was about 30 mins from de nord via Paris’s metro train system. We got a 3 day pass for zones 1-3 so that covered everything we needed to see. Checked out all the tourist places, Eiffel tower, Lovue Musuem, Nortre Dame, Opera house and St. Sulpice (da vinci code church) With the rose line, plus lots of other places.

Lovue was amazing but we only had a few hours so rushed to look at the painting etc very quickly. Really you need a full day there to soak up all the painting etc.

We also meet up with a french friend of mine on Sunday for lunch and later showed us around a bit and filled us in on the area etc. Was great to have a local show us the good “bits” to see and do.

Took quite few photos but the weather wasn’t the best for this, a little misty most of the time. (And damn cold too)

Was so great to get out of London and hopefully (pending the old account balances of us both) we will visit a few other countries in Europe.
