On Friday it was the festival of San Juan here, Basicly a night of parties, bonfires and fireworks. Its to celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice is celebrated during the shortest night of the year.

A Group of us headed down to las rotas (the rocks) Its the other side of denias coast, the rocky shore. We had dinner by the sea and later at 12 pm you have to throw “gifts to the sea” And make 3 wishes. Even the local crabs were out doing this. As seen in my photo. Little buggers were waiting to bite our toes I think. So camouflaged you could hardly see them. I think the beach would have been a better choice….No crabs in the rocks there.

A goodnight for all I think.

Some history on the The festival of San Juan can be found Here

Other news, we are both pretty busy sorting out the wedding which is only about 1 1/2 weeks away! Honeymoon will be in Tenerife (Canary Islands) ! 8 days of RR can’t wait.
